The soup was the most decent item on the menu that I had no complaints about.

The complimentary bread I had in the beginning appears again here as if I didn't have enough. The chicken breast was dry, the 'crispy prosciutto' was not crispy nor was the 'crisp lettuce'. Avocado mousse? Not sure where that went. At least the spring mix salad with taro chips was decent. Then again, it's salad, how do you mess that up?
Italian Herb Grilled Chicken Breast “BLT” Club Crispy Proscuitto, Pommery Tomato Puree, Crisp Lettuce, Avocado Mousse |
This was the MOST pathetic dessert I EVER had. Just the presentation itself was PATHETIC. Look, just look. I was expecting at least a s'more sandwich, but instead I got a dissected s'more that was pronounced dead after it entered the surgical room, aka the kitchen. The "homemade" marshmallow was rubbery and jello like, not the soft fluffy marshmallow at all.
Banana & Nutella S’more Graham Crackers (should be crumbs), Caramelized Bananas, Nutella Mousse (not mousse, just nutella), Hazelnut Caramel |
Final Verdict: BELOW Par
This sounds great! Can't wait to try it out, thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteMy worst 'licious dessert was at Bruschetta on St.Clair West. We had a choice of a cream puff or a tartufo. I figured the cream puff wouldn't be filling enough, and that's also kinda lame, so I went with the tartufo. They gave everyone HALF a tartufo. Storebought.
The Graham Cracker crumbs .. I sorta like the idea! A deconstructed and modern take on it .. except, yes, it looks like somebody already ate and finished the good stuff on your plate before they gave it to you!
You're right, you ARE hard to please. ;)
the weather is terrible today! and i guess this angry sounding post didn't help with the weather at all, hahaha
DeleteYea, and it'll be hard to get yourself some mood-enhancing food with the road conditions out there. It's Friday and it's less than a week before your trip. Think happy, warm, delicious-asian-streetfood thoughts
DeleteI think this is the first below par vote I've seen on this blog. Gotta hand out more of these to live up to the blog's namesake you know ;)
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, Far Niente being where it is and for the price it charges, would have to deliver an amazing lunch to even rank par. I wouldn't want to pay any amount of money for the lunch you had.
